Magento : Access denied issue

First you should log out from the Magento admin area and then log in again.

If the above does not help, you should reset the admin privileges. This can be done through the Magento admin area > System > Permissions > Roles > Administrators.

Click on the Role Resources option from the left menu and make sure that Resource Access is set to All.

Click on the Save Role button and the permissions will be reset.

  1. I can only give specific permission to this admin user? The link is displayed in the menu. But it gives an "Access Denied" page for that specific user?

    1. Yes, you can....here first you reset all permissions then reassign the permission to that user after logout/login.

    2. I have set user roles for different staff members in Magento. However, even though full sales, orders, invoices and shipment privileges are given I am still getting an access denied message from the search bar in the top right corner of the site. You can manually search for a customer and order by navigating directly to the Orders or Customers page, but can't find it via the search box! I've tried the logout/in approach but that doesn't work. I can't provide admin because they are not admin members of staff! Any ideas would be very helpful!
